Wade is everything I didn't anticipate: defensive, hostile, and convinced I'm another rich outsider who'll destroy the legacy his father figure left him. And honestly? I think he's an overprotective, stubborn ass who can't see past his own grief to recognize help when it's offered.

But he puts me to work anyway: herding cattle, assisting with vaccinations, getting covered in dirt and manure while he waits for me to quit. I don't. I keep showing up, keep pushing back, and slowly start to see the wounded man beneath the grumpy exterior.

Now I have to spend every day working alongside a man who challenges me, infuriates me, and makes me feel things I've never felt before. So, how am I supposed to save this ranch when I can barely breathe around him?
